Native Son, with all due respect, why are you stifling debate about that goat called Moi.

The guy made us wipe his filthy toilet for 24 horrible years, surely we deserve to say what we want about his irresponsible and moronic rule.

Native Son, tafadhali...self-censorship and Mashada don't mix.

Rwathia,

That was all meant as humour. Perhaps it didn't come out the way I intended it to be.

I hold no brief for Baba Moi. I frankly don't care about him.

Sasa tuko pamoja nadhani.

some people don't know humor even if it comes poking their eye.

You may have a chance if the rumours were anything to go by and good luck if you manage.

But honestly that is interesting..so you have seen him in person..how cool. I just want a picture with him, nothing more, nothing less

there's some interesting book by some British lady about moi, read it....
you can find moi if you go to kabarnet; when i was at kabarnet high school moi visited the school frequently and being the editor in chief of the school's weekly magazines i had a few encounters with him. {that was like in the mid 90s you were probably not even born}
Wow, a useful comment from pier dau aka grandma ****

he is interesting but was very ruthless during his rule ask the likes of bloggerati; he was tossed in jail for being "kichwa ngumu"
if you take a picture with nyayo you can post it here so we can discuss.
another thing about moi; he provided free milk in primary school and he had his personal youth militias armed with sticks known as kanu youth wingers; they would smack the hell out of anyone loitering at night; my dad used to get his arse whooped when he was taking his late night patrols in kisumu.

Seen him, not once.... almost the entire of my life. And didn't we have the privilege to meet him every time he was passing in the neighbourhood of our school! It was mandatory we had to go and queue on the road and sing Nyayo, Nyayo either under scorching sun, thick fog or rain. Besides our school composed a song for him just to ask him to donate a school bus.... and yes, I was in the choir.... need I say more. But I am not sure if he is mysterious.
