yes. the way we spend money leaves alot to be desired. if my leader does wrong i should be brave enough to disagree. from fancy vehicles to whatever, we still have alot to do here. sometimes its normal to get carried away defending your leader when people hate him for no good reason. but when you get stuck in traffic for 2 hours and go back home to water distress you loose patience with all leaders. kunjeni your long sleeved shirts and trousers, figuratively of course, there is work to be done. there might not be time to watch television.

Even the west is impressed by the developments taking place in the IT/digital field. Look at what the BBC reporter is saying about the landing of the cable at Mombasa:
''Coming to Africa to report on the new broadband cable was always going to be a challenge to our own technology......A broadcasting exercise that we had found tricky in locations from the west coast of Scotland to the west coast of the USA proved reasonably simple in Kenya. So why am I telling you all this in a blog post about Africa? Because it illustrates the very point we were trying to illuminate by coming to here, that new technology could now link this region up to the rest of the world, with profound effects on its economy and society.'' see how before even coming he had concluded that "....coming to africa........was always going to be a challenge to our own technology....."
we are always inferior to them. they have their own preconceived ideas about us. we dont have to copy them in some or all things just for the sake of keeping up with the jones's. wakwende huko. i certainly dont need all their technology to live comfortably. btw, that is internet. |
