The mau forest eviction plan is a noble environmental move, although it has elicited different reactions from the political spectrum. That it is threatening to tear apart rift valley leaders is an acid test for the odm.
Chepalungu mp isaac ruto and his allies should stop hurling insults at prime minister raila odinga for taking his stand. I beg to differ with those opposed to the mau forest. If there was illegal settlement, why oppose it? the pm has indicated that settlement into the forest was done maliciously, and for political favour. It is time such mistakes were corrected.
Let me remind mr ruto and his ilk that they were also opposed to operation rudi nyumbani meant to resettle internally displaced persons despite those people suffering in camps. I thank the government for ignoring them. Life is now returning to normal for those who accepted to go back to their previous homes.
Mr ruto and his colleagues also opposed operation okoa maisha in mt elgon, which flushed out the deadly sabaot lands defence force that had claimed many lives of residents and destabilising their lives for almost a decade. Residents have thanked the military for coming to their rescue.
Later the mps opposed to the withdrawal of the officers after their time was up. Mr ruto and his faction should give us an optimal way of rescuing mau forest without evicting those in it.
We should focus on improving livelihoods rather than politicking for the sake of being heard. Mr ruto, we also know the destruction of the forest was carried out in the previous regime, which you served.

I think this isaac ruto should just move to udm, seek fresh mandate from chepalungu and see if he'll make it back to parliament. Raila made it clear that the Govt is going to first find an alternative settlement for Mau people.
Kenyans are begining to see these so-called young turks for what they really are - SELFISH! - not remotely different from some of the old folks we currently have.
Not all chemicals are bad. Without chemicals such as hydrogen and oxygen, for example there would be no way to make water, a vital ingredient in beer.
