Public hospitals in nyanza province are ill equipped to deal with the increasing number of men seeking circumcision following a campaign launched by prime minister Raila Odinga last monday. National task force on male circumcision chairman Peter Cherutich said the public medical facilities could not adequately serve hundreds of men seeking circumcision.
He said that after Raila urged members of the community to go for the cut, the response was overwhelming. "we are surprised with response to the PM's advice by members of his community to undergo circumcision. They are walking into the health institutions in their hundreds contrary to our expectations," said dr cherutich.
And next week, prof olweny and dr. Oburu might just join in, if they haven't chickened out already.
