They are destroying our future. I know these things were always there, but Moi did not take a lot of crap. These cases are enormous. Out publich health system cannot handle some of the diseases that these kids suffer from. Our hospitals hakuna madawa..Petty thieves are getting death penalties, yet foreign rapists are running our villas.
The only person who can have a voice on this is Martha Karua.....She would shake these Barons!!!

PUH-LEEEASE!!!

People are talking as if kenya would be the vatican sans tourists. I ask anyone to open a nation newspaper and check in the classified section in 'beauty'. see how chicas advertise themselves? and the overwhelming majority of their customers are kenyans.

see how k-street hookers operate right next to central police headquarters yet nothing ever happens. see how park road in ngara and argwings kodhek have become like k-street with hookers lining up after 9 pm. see how brothels have mushroomed in ngara, lavi, kile, westi and parklands. and more often than not they are operated by indigenous kenyans and their customers are also indigenous kenyans. every year, hundreds of women from TZ, UG, ethiopia and as far as nigeria and liberia come to kenya 2 become hookers. remember the bust that revealed some MPs and a minister that (cough*mwakwere* cough) patronized k-street

like it or not, we kenyans love sex by the pound. and fortunately or unfortunately, the govt is not gonna do anything about it. Not when we have a prezzy who denies he has a 2nd wife and MPs who are constantly being taken to court by their mistresses who claim that they have illegitimate kids and refuse to pay their child support

Point very well made.... looks like we are always blaming others for our faults/problems.

It is a sad situation. Here are the gory details of the escapades of sex tourists in kenya. I cant believe that this is really happening.

Default Why R U Suprised - 09-01-2008, 06:52 PM

Am surprised that people here are acting like this is a new situation in Kenya. This has been going on since the beginning of time. many Kenyans pretend to be saints and good people but their moral fabric is rotten as ever. Did you know that F1 and F2 were given a lifetime license to operate in Kenya by the first Justice Minister of Kenya? Did you know that the police cannot go into anyone of those clubs to arrest anyone without calling up above? Did you know that if you ask F1 and F2 management if their were prostitutes in their club theyu would deny that and could get you thrown out? Did you know that most whores on Koinange Street hide their daytime clothes in the big Church just opposite Intercontinental? Wake up!!

And how come Police is not arresting them? Why are they not cleaning our streets? Exactly the same point people are making here. The brothels...well documented and written about by journalists, who owns them? Why are they untouchable???? Someone is trying to market Kenya as a tourist sex destination...someone is sleeping on the job...someone is exploiying someone..
Since there are names out there, this is a very sloppy road. They need to be stopped.

I don't think people are trying to market kenya as a tourist sex destination. I just think that a few opportunists saw the lax liberal attitude to matters pertaining to sex and made hay while the sun shone - and of course in the process greased a few palms. Walk along accra road or river road and see how many independent kenyan "filmmakers" are selling kenyan made porn. And keep in mind all their clientele are also kenyans. This is an industry that came about without the help of tourists or the govt. Si mzee alisema kazi iendelee?

like i mentioned earlier, kenya is yet to become a bangkok or amsterdam which are official tourist sex destinations. However we have to realize that sex is not a taboo thing that should be talked about in hushed tones. we have to ditch the moral high ground that we always take. Its not about adopting a cavalier attitude towards sex - its about adopting a mature approach towards it and promoting safe, responsible and mutual sex.
