Pauline kalonzo put on state payroll

VPs Kalonzo Musyoka’s wife has been put on a Sh. 400, 000 monthly salary effective July 1. Mrs Musyoka’s new pay will be backdated to last month.
She becomes the first wife ever of a sitting vice president to be put on the govt payroll. On bonus is the security and transport due to all Second ladies. This decision was communicated to the PS for Home affairs, Ludeki Chweya, in a letter by Francis Muthaura and the change will be factored into the ministry’s 2008/9 bugdet.
Professionally, Pauline works as a senior manager in the central Bank of Kenya’s Governor’s office where she is reported to earn close to Sh. 500,000 in salary.

The Prime Minister’s wife Ida Odinga does not enjoy a State pay package which further culminate the protocol turfs between the Vice President and the Prime Minister.

Wait a minute, does that mean she is leaving her Central Bank of Kenya's Kshs.500,000 per month salary job for the Kshs.400,000 state Payroll or she will still continue to work at the Central Bank of Kenya?

Pauline Kalonzo should enjoy both-her Second Lady status and her job at CBK. She is very beautiful and graceful and will perfectly serve part-time in humanitarian duties as the Second Lady.

Ida Odinga?? Just a toothless portrait in the govt house like her husband Raila.

It gets clearer by the day:the protocol order is: President, Vice-President then the Prime Minister

Now they are using their wives to fight protocol wars. there is not limit to how low these fellas will sink.
The PM VP issue was sealed long ago. anyone still trying to ressurect it is living in the past.

Let Pauline enjoy her new role if she likes. as for the rest of us, we are busy building our lives not celebrating which politician's wife got a pay rise.

Truth be said: Idah is too rude and arrogant to deserve such remuneration. Kenyans must brace for very annoying times if she ever climbs to such status

Well I have met her personally and she is close to the kindest person I ever saw. unless you went to her asking for handouts.

whatever the case, if giving anybodys wife a salary makes you happy, have it for dinner. I care less either way.
