I don't know if this deserves a response, but yes I am serious in my intentions of looking for information on this subject. The title was written in a way that would get people to open the thread but obviously all my posts within this thread have been on subject and to the point. If I had written a more specific title like "looking for information on the recent Kenyan political debates regarding human wildlife conflicts, in particular with regard to baboons." Well then this thread would have no replies whatsoever as most would not have even opened the thread.

Anyways, I didn't think that it was too much to ask and thought that someone might actually scan a clip (or shoot a low res pic with a digital camera) from the local newspaper and attach it as a photobucket link or may have been more in the know of where such an article could be found online. Instead my thread has now degraded to including childish links to Pongo pygmaeus pictures. I do realize that this is NOT a scientific venue, but as my original question is of a political nature I thought that it might at least get some more positive feedback by local Kenyan's who wanted to help out a countrymate overseas.

Thanks for the time of those who may have read my thread with a more serious intention.

Nancy

Ask a serious question, and people will answer accordingly... post something that looks ironical and the responses will be so!

Ahem, I came here exactly because this forum is supposedly for politicians, or those politically inclined, who should know about what I am asking about. I have by know means asked you - of all people - to get "down and dirty" and do my thesis research. I'm even amazed that anyone could be so deluded as to believe that passing along a simple article on any subject could even constitute as any significant part of a PhD thesis. As I posted earlier, I have already done the body of my thesis and what I am looking for is simply a footnote that can show some intent by the Kenyan government to follow up on baboon - human wildlife conflict - issues and just wanted to add such an article as a reference on a proposal for a grant proposal where this information is relevant. If you have truly completed a thesis, which is dubious from your response, then you of all should know that a PhD thesis includes hundreds, even thousands, of references and I would hardly constitute someone pointing out to me where such an article were to be found as doing MY research for me. It would still be MY duty to read the article and incorporate it into the body of MY thesis and MY proposals. If that is the way you felt then move on and don't post a reply! From the nature of what this forum represents this should be exactly the right place to find a tidbit of Kenyan political information and I'm sorry that you apparently come here to troll and throw out unknowledgable and ignorant insinuations.

Oh please,

A title of a post or article is to its body of work as a hook (chorus) is to a song! Once the thread is opened it is quite obvious from my follow up text that my question is sincere and that my title is NOT ironic and actually suits the question which follows it appropriately.

What you are implying is like saying that newspaper articles, magazine articles and TV reporting is rarely serious because the headlines are catchy and frequently inflammatory. If you truly believe that the body of work has to be well defined in its headline then why the heck are you participating in a political forum? Obviously you believe that newspapers magazines and tv reports are written as a joke and not with any seriousness since editors frequently head articles (segments) with semi misleading headlines which only make sense after the body of the article (segment) is revealed? If you apply what you are implying to the published world-at-large then you have pretty much already discarded every source where political news originates and it makes no sense why you are posting here in the first place unless you are just troll looking to talk trash and look like a bufoon with your ignorant responses?
