Default Why Give Kibaki is only president who have changed kenya. - 08-06-2008, 01:20 PM

Kibakis five year of governance has proved to be the best ever for Kenya. Kenyans have enjoyed the fruits of good governance in form of:-
1. Collection of taxes hence for the first time ever in independent Kenya has financed up to 95% of its budget.
2. Revival of previously collapsed Parastatals eg KCC etc
3. Press freedom-: Not ever before have Kenyan enjoyed the generating freedom of press. In the streets of all major cities and towns you find hundreds of different newspapers and TV channels that you couldn’t imagine of the same five years ago.
4. Constituency Development Fund:- for the first time ever can each constituency get money from government to develop itself and uplift the living standard of all Kenyans.
5. Free drugs for people with diseases like HIV and AIDS, TB, Cholera etc.
6. Human rights protection.
7. Economic growth from -(negative) to +6.5%:- Is it not a miracle bearing the population of a third world country like Kenya.
8. Marketing and doing much business with the Asian Countries there by diversifying market not relying on the Imperialists.
9. Improved infrastructures i.e. roads, heath care, transport etc.
10. Free primary and secondary Education.

Hon Kibaki vision and development records overshadows his opponents who have been just making unnecessary noises without telling Kenyans what they have in store that Kibaki can not do better. The so called pentagon is full of Corrupt/tainted individuals with cases pending in Kenyan courts no wonder they are cheating Kenyans in order to escape jail out of what they have stolen from public coffers. Kenyans are mature enough to be glued by empty rhetoric. Kibaki always have an Agenda for a better Kenya and he has proven it.

ODM are letting kenyans down by domo domo.Upto now we have witnessed three ministers violating laws in their dockets, others confessing they have killed kenyans.

All they are capable of is only "payukaling"opposing the issues which are benefitial to kenyans.ODM is full of disngusting leaders.

It is out of these and many more developments that progressive African governments are pushed back by puppets picked from amongst us! May he make Kenya develop to greater heights of development. I careless who the president is but what the president is doing for Kenyans. Looking back each of the others did what they had to do then. Kibaki has done a good job. We are waiting for the taxation of the "poor MPs" of Kenyan parliament.
His intellect (and wisdom) has shut out even the powers that be and has rattled friends and foe alike.

sure i'll have to agree with those points but pray tell me what about scandals like anglo leasing? what about the increased levels of corruption in the govt. during those 5 yrs? why did Githongo have to flee? what about all those sacred cows in the govt.? why with all the crap about how the youth are the leaders of tommorrow do we still have gray haired P.S's in the civil service? why do all the security positions seem to be held by guys from one community? as some newspapers have it the G.Regency saga was sealed last year, under whose watch was this? i could go on & on about the ills of the Kibaki Presidency and you could also go on & on about how he's been the
"best president ever" but frankly i dont have the time.

Another problem i have with your thread is the part about ODM leaders being disgruntled...that's all hogwash try being in the opposition and have an election robbed from you and tell me if you'll be content....if anything our ODM leaders are true patriots led by P.M Raila Odinga, we in the ODM support this G.C.G but we cant forget the injustice that was done to us but for now we are commited to uplifting the lives of the Kenyan mwananchi thru our leaders and lest anyone be unsure about this, just watch the P.M and tell me if he's not working...its no wonder he has a 75 % approval rating by all Kenyans.

The poster has not anywhere said that the Kibaki admin doesnt have its own shortcomings, he just listed a number of things that are in the public domain that have been done in an effort to uplift kenyans' lives. And yes, the P.M. might be working, and i think he could do a good job if only he could reign in those kale MP's who seem to think that they are owed everything by everyone else, to a point of thumping their chests over the Mau forest issue. However, lets give the PM time and review his performance in 5 years, I hope we wont start hearing excuses of the type we hear when anyone raises the issue of Kibera being so underdeveloped in his reign there.

Just read your own statement and tell me you are not justifying Kibaki's BS. You have delved into issues that you have no idea about.
