Your question is very fascinating. Tell me any other tribe that can produce a leader who permeates people's life than a luo? i believe that we are the most talked about because of different premises; 1. It is clear that you can not ignore luo's unlike some tribe which can disappear in oblivion 2. Luos are poor but never timid. Infact it takes other tribes by suprice and they quickly dismiss it for arrogance 3.i do not believe loosing fore skin is more painful than loosing 6 teeth. So it is not a matter of pain tolerance, but cultural conflict. 4. With all the marginalization, assasination of top luo leaders, economic desenfranchisement luo's are still standing. The kalenjin were in power for 20 years but made it clear that they could not even take 1 more year of opposition. Luo's took it for 40 years. 5.luo's are the only tribe that harvest without sowing. Other tribes ;sow, weed etc, luo's are blessed with the lake where they simply go and get fish. 6.in most places you find luo's even if employed in manual labor , you will almost uniquely find them cleaner than even the boss. They will rather buy a bar of sop before food. 7. Finally apart from north eastern everybody is becoming landless or overcrowded, yet luos are still sparcely populated and land issue is not an issue. 8. Going by steryotype and to some extend they are true, luo's do not invest so much. When they get their money they first pay themselves; getting entertained and having a good time, rather than being miserable but investing. 9. Finally luo's have healthy but un-compromising show their emotions. For example it used to be the trend that when gor mahia plays, luos will beat people around city stadium regardless. Now this people home is very far fro nairobi compared to kambaa, kikuyu and kalenjin yet they operate in that part of city as if it is there home. It is therefore my humble submission that if you are not a luo the government of kenya should pay you for disability.
Even removing 6 teeth you guys have ducked that to, chickens.
