They may launch, relaunch, giveit a facelift, ...........it doesn't matter.

This paper is just what it is, a tabloid akin to Britain's The Sun.

I alsohave issues with the Daily Nation but granted, the Nation is respectable.

The Standard has been there since 1902 and doesn't even come close to teh Nation. The Nation is ALL YOU NEED!

Your name reflects your postings, nothing concrete just MISCELLANEOUS propaganda. Hop off his d**k you sound gay, do you see ODMites complaining about Nation, KBC, Citizen TV. No we are not childish we just exercise our other options DO THE SAME. BTW nation sales have dropped so drastically there are parts of coasto, western, Nyanza and RV where they do not deliver. I have relas all in these regions and this was post-elections, I posted this in Feb; I would like to see their 2008 earnings compared to 2007 (unfortunately Kenyan companies are not obligated to give quarterly earnings) watch this space.

It is my homepage and it stays up on a tab on my browser 24/7 (I kid you not). So to answer your swali I read it 45.5 seconds ago. Be honest you read it today too because the ancient nationmedia.com webpage takes about 2 minutes to open up and you got impatient and switched to eastandard hahahaha. Mazee that page is so slow that whenever I try to open it to see the slant on a BIG story, I will go feed my dogs, make coffee do laundry (plus drying) comeback and the **** is still loading up (I swear).

I think it's all about objectivity. Every news media has an editorial policy and I'm afraid The Standard most of the time does not rank very high in terms of news objectivity (and neither does Citizen). Standard tends to "amplify" articles that are favorable to ODM and even goes a step further to give them sensational headlines.

I still read The Standard, but you know something is not right when you have to confirm their stories against other media outlets. I have a feeling that most of their journalists and/or editors are sympathetic to ODM and therefore tend to skew news articles to reflect an ODM point of view. I may be wrong but that's just the way i see it.

Now that I can agree with. Nationmedia.com is the slowest website on the internet! Sometimes it does not even load at all!!! Even KBC is better, way much better!
