Default Is kibaki ready to visit kisumu and eldoret? - 07-06-2008, 06:14 AM

How come the prime minister can visit any part of the country without fear yet the president is still jittery to visit places like kisumu, kakamega and Eldoret.

The president has nothing to fear from the people. He is the custodian of monopoly of violence, if you know what I mean.

Because the President has nothing to gain from such visits. Raila has everything to gain because he will be on the ballot paper for the office of the president come 2012.

His conscience won't let him especially kisumu. But he can still go if it is to open a very big investment project there.

Just imagine!

From this thread, peke yake.... if computer-literate-probably-living-abroad sophisticates like fiery_preacher and nakuruyetu can be so uncouth, imagine what their cousins back home in the village are capable of.

If you were the Baks, would you waste your time visiting them?
