Any truth in rumors going around that Ruto's dad actually committed suicide after being inundated with inquiries about promises his son had made during the 2007 elections.

It is said that Ruto promised Kalenjin warriors that they will be absorbed into armed forces, but, now, many of them are missing (read killed during the 2007 election mayhem) and slowly the parents are finding out that these young men are NOT in prison, after the KP revealed that they only have about 100 held over the 2007/2008 election violence.

Also, it is said that besides the many parents inquiring of their sons, there were/are many victims of the election violence who are making/made some very dire demands, for example, it is said Biwot had told Ruto's dad to tell Ruto that he's still expecting to harvest his wheat that was destroyed, and he's also expecting to milk his cows that were killed.

Moi's family has weighed in with similar demands.

It’s these kinds of pressures that lead to Ruto's dad committing suicide. I also hear that Ruto's mother ameenda wazimu.

While I do not condemn anyone, we must be cognizant of higher laws manifested in our conscience and spirit.

well u don have to beleive but wait and see, its understood that his mum is in serious sh## but time always does us a favor and tells it all, bout the promises just open ur ears and the kalenjin boys not warriors(cam anyone support or dispute this: ruto used very young boys to fight not any warriors) will tell u that their promises were replaced by death for most of them and now the parents are on rutos parents behind since the murderer doesnt show up in his home area.
