Disgraceful Raila -
05-09-2008, 03:08 AM
In which constituency does Raila surely represent in parliament, is it Bondo or Langata constituency? Because it’s disheartening to the populace of Langata constituency, in particular, the biggest slum in Africa which is almost to become a museum of all international visitors in this country not to benefit in tomorrows Raila’s Party. What are his plans for the big slums? Since when he was campaigning and also after his appointment as prime minister in this country, I have never heard him talking of Langata constituency and what could be done to uplift Kibera from its eminence.

This is not only Raila's problem. Many MPs who get other appointments tend to forget their constituencies. It is difficult for a single person to attend Parliament, work in his capacity as PM,work in his capacity as a 'national' leader and meet his constituents.
That is why I think Cabinet should not be MPs just like the US. That way, no one will have a reason for not meeting his/her voters.

Sorry, you must be getting things wrong. Firstly, he has roots of which he is proud of. Two, he has spoken of Kibera many times after elections and even after being declared the PM (Hope you have been following the news - get your facts right! Three, Lang'ata is not the slum; it's a constituency, while Kibera, is the slum and lastly. If you meant Kibera, then it's not the largest slum in Africa.
Now, Raila has a right to go for home-coming at Bondo as that is his HOME. Perhaps, you do not have one and have adopted a second home somewhere through land acquired in one way or another. The Kisumu and Bondo people publicly invited him to visit them so that they could fete him. You want him to let them down. Please, if you do not like the man, do not question his actions based on skewed reasoning just to raise some wimpy waves! Love or hate him - that is of no consequence. Sorry for that.

i think you led a wrong thread or by virtue of being a jango or a kale you are thrilled to have such fete as you call it; so that your folks could once get a balanced diet.luos and kalenjin are so much obsessed with land hence they will die trying to get one. even if they have Orengo in the land miinistry he can't do anything as most of his threats are just propagandas and he will get to point and realize he was just wasting his time as most the land owners have title deeds.

Homecoming -
05-09-2008, 06:32 AM
May be someone need explain the purpose of HOMECOMING. If the essence is to say thank you to those who voted for you, then the rightful people to be hosted the party for should be the constituents. In the case of Raila, it could be argued differently as he was as well vying for the presidency which eventually landed him the PM. But this would then lead to a question of whether he will be having similar parties across the country, and apart from the political aspect, would they be serving any social-economic purpose to the people?
I realise that patriotism is not enough. I must have no hatred or bitterness towards anyone.

Raila fate -
05-09-2008, 08:19 AM
Raila fete will cost a fortune in this country as he will use government money to please his tribe. sources have indicated that Raila had almost gone bankruptcy hence the much tension and mayhem he had to cause for him to be relevant and to remain in government and also to get money to repay debts he incurred during campaign time.

Yeah yeah, bankrupt my arse. The guy got his finances sorted out a long long time ago.
As long as you Keep on using gas in your home, drinking liquor and fueling your car so Raila will always have more money than you can ever fathom.
