Its sad when you title a thread like I have becoz you know that is what people on Mashada are looking for. For a while I have been wondering what ails Kenya and Africa as a whole and checking on Mashada it seems that we all want to blame each other for our problems. Its a natural human reaction you always want to project your failures onto someone elses perceived wrongs be it a Kikuyu blaming a Luo, a Kaleo blaming a Kamba...etc. Our very astute politicians having realized this have exploited it to the hilt and we have swallowed it hook line and sinker to the point where some will not even consider electing someone from another tribe as there representative. I was appalled to watch a You tube recording of a Mijikenda political leader announcing to wild cheering that they would investigate his challengers 'credentials' to see whether he was truly Mijikenda enough to represent them. Its been allover the news and newspapers about the regional, tribal and gender equality of our new colossal cabinet with people still crying foul everywhere. Nowhere have I seen a discourse or display of the credentials that these ministers hold that enable them to lead their ministries so effectively. Shouldnt there qualifications matter more than what region or tribe they supposedly represent and that way we can objectively judge merit without any tribal animosity? The sooner we realize that our current crop of politicians do not have our interests at heart the sooner we will move our country forward. A long time ago we used to say 'kuna wanainchi na wenyeinchi' its time we realized that the 'wenyeinchi' have been running things for a while and have no intention of ever letting things go. The 'wenyeinchi' are from every tribe and will keep fighting in public but coexisting peacefully in private as long as you the mwanainchi lets them. In my book anyone who preaches that your life is hopeless because this other mwanainchi from another tribe has an easier time is wrong, or that if this other tribe takes over the highest office you will suffer and need to hold on despite the cost is also wrong. They are dinosaurs and as such should both be made extinct. Then and only then will we ever be able to take back OUR country.
