Fast forward to 2008, same thing, evictions happened and Kikuyus are quick to claim that IDPs acquired the land "legally". So what happens to those evicted during NARC's early years? Will they be compensated as well?
Food for thought.

When PNU under the cover of NARC came to power, they virtually evicted families from their ancestral lands giving a flimsy reasons of water catchment area, blablabla.
Rather than hurry in sending these lucky survivors of the recent vilonce to face imminent death, they should dialogue with the locals. Its the only way out.
But even important is the fact the the government had completely closed its eyes on the evicted at Mau and Elgon. The issue is weighty, the issue cannot be wished away by just forcing back the IDPs as if nothing happened.
Karua lives in another world and believes she can force the Rift Valley people to tow her crooked line.
But why doesn't one person from the PNU point out these large landscapes of land grabbed by Kenyatta. It is our land and at a times like these those shouting loudest like Uhuru kenyatta and the rest, should give back the land to their owners - Kenyans
