^^That was funny Miscellaneous. I must confess Michuki's tenure at the internal security docket was the worst Kenya has seen apart from Kibaki in the home affairs docket during the detaining and execution of FEMA, Mwakenya, Raila, et al.

Kwani we ni fala wa wapi. Dont you know that the Ministry of Transport's duty is to formulate policies and the work of enforcement lies with the minister for Internal affairs (traffic police Dept). And FYI the reason why Michuki succeeded in the Ministry of Transport was due to good rapport with Murungaru who was in the internal Security Ministry. But Michuki and Mwakwere didnt seem to work together.Stop blaming mwakwere for nothing you imbecile.

wai wai, ama nikuiti woi woi,

Wacha ubendau. Tumia bongo. If Mwakwere had the good of Kenya at heart and to see the transport sector flourish, he should have done the below things.

1. Issue a transport management policy in teh first place
2. Develop a rapport with the then Internal security minster, Michuki, to get on top of things
3. Address the issue at cabinate level and even in parliament if he does not get the necessary support from Michuki
3. Address it directly with the President if Michuki brings nyokoridho
4. Take his plan to the public and disown the government if they cannot help him implement the transport policy.
5. Advise Kibaki that suspending tehMichuki rules as a campaign gimmick is ill informed and its respurcusions will the painful and long term.

Zuzu wa majengo aka wai wai, ebu nionyeshe Mwakwere alifanya ngapi za hizo nimetaja.

Peleka ubendau wako mbele. Hasidi hachoki?

Default Accident Occurrence sheet - 04-21-2008, 03:57 PM

Accident Occurrence sheet

We will from today document every accident that occurs and previous ones too that went unreported. Please add to help pressurize the President to act and if necessary curve out separate ministries from the transport docket for example

(a) Minister of Surface Transport (b) Minister of Ports and Civil Aviation

1. KQ crash landing at Entebbe(21/04/2008) -what is going on there? May be Naikuni has outlived his usefulness; should step down too for someone else.

Cutting edge

Agreeing with O Nyatich that Chirau Ali Mwakwere should not have been retained in the Transport job, Linus Njiru hopes that it’s not too late for President Kibaki to shuffle his pack again and give the portfolio back to John Michuki, who made a big impact when he served there and is still fondly remembered for the “Michuki Rules” that had restored some sanity to the rogue matatu sector.

Default Chorus gets shriller - 05-02-2008, 05:15 AM

He said workers want Michuki back at the office so that sanity can be restored. He said only Michuki can ensure sanity is restore in the transport sector.

On cutting edge

Are there any rules and regulations determining the maximum length of trucks and trailers or more precisely, that of the prime mover and the trailer being pulled on the highway? asks Henry Nyabuto.

He adds: “On almost a daily basis, I come across ‘very long’ trailers and these, indeed, pose a grave danger to other road users, and more so, when they are negotiating roundabouts.”

Raila should show magnanimity in calling for his nemesis Michuki to be named transport minister if he does not want to suffer the fate of a road accident.
Chorus gets shriller

Atwoli repeats our call.

Publication date: 5/2/2008 labour day celebrations at uhuru park were turned into a lobby platform as the crowd demanded the return of mr john michuki to the transport ministry.

Padie, these guys use Mashada for policy direction. In another thread we mentioned Kalooser should implement the prisoners demands and stop this commision charade thing. He had no choice but read Mashada and do the necessary. Even Awori read mashada and opted not to take the post.

Woo! This chorus is deafening, Michuki should remain precisely where he is, at the environment and mineral resources Ministry, he can’t unblock traffic Jam or change people’s attitude.

And it seems the Mwakere guy has a lot to do including the KQ stable. The Standard | Online Edition | IATA takes up KQ safety fears

I realise that patriotism is not enough. I must have no hatred or bitterness towards anyone.
