This guy means business...i wonder what he told hon kimunya in the finance ministry.. farmers have known all along that that their money was being withheld for political reasons..

The Standard | Online Edition

Next target should be kikuyu and wahindi fertilizer importers..

Wow!

I like the way life is so A+B = C, or simple black and white - in the eyes of a simpleton.

If Ruto were such an angel, the economic misery we suffered due to his (and Jirongo's) shenanigans in YK '92 wouldn't have happened.

If he were such a model citizen as you would love us to believe, there would be no IDP's. Yeah, yeah - and before you jump off your ethnic high horse, we all know he is the source, centre and epicentre of ethnic cleansing in RV.

If he's such a patriot/statesman as you mistakenly believe, he wouldn't be salivating after the lucrative Military insurance contracts, innit?

He means business, alright. But trust me, you aint the centre of his business.

Hey brother! You should be among the few who are still bogged up in the past. It is unfortunate that your future is in your past. We all have complaints to make, whether genuine or not, driven by hate or love or by indifference to prevailing circumstances.

We have the right to complain.

But at a time like this let's try to encourage angels and devils to work together. Your devil could be my angel and vice versa.

So rather than live in the painful, tragic past, why can't we try to endevour to share what we have been served on the plate. It may not be tasty but it is nutritional, to say the least.
But ebven more so, it is better than an empty plate.

So rather than point at Ruto,Ruto,Ruto all the time let's open our eyes to see the positive part of his contributions.

Our enemies are human beings. They may have something that we can emulate if we have to look at them objectively.

Painful tragic past? Bogged down in the past?

I'm more in the future than your future kids will be, pal. You see, analysing past trends and patterns helps you avoid making stupid mistakes in the future - like mistaking a shyster for a savior.

So what? I'm supposed to smile and believe that Kenya will be the Garden of Eden in the next five years? Sheesh!

Reality check, dude: learn from the mistakes of others coz only fools make the same mistake twice. I doubt you'd want to be classified as the latter.

I agree with your comments and appreciate your feelings.

There is only one way of moving forward.Try as much as we can to be optimistic. We can only learn once and I believe we have all learned and know something about the weakness of a fragile society.

I am not encouraging you to forget the past, I am encouraging you to use it to positively fight on towards a brighter future.

This tragedy should be seen as a "chance" to avoid other tragedies that lay in wait for those who have not learned anything.

Positive, I am. Optimistic, often times. Forgetful, I'm definitely not!

I'm not advocating hate, revenge and apathy like a few popular Mashada miscreants who I need not identify by name. But like Bishop T.D. Jakes sez in his book "The Great Investment",

Quote:
I challenge the spiritual to be practical
It pays to have a rich mix of both reality and fantasy. Tilt on either side and you're toast!

As much as Kenya looks like a dead end, I would never leave my country for, say, the US [that habours 85% of the world's serial killers] or the UK [where sexual orientation is becoming increasingly fuzzy]. Gloomy and doomy as the outlook may be, I'm here to stay.

But as I look towards the future, it would be wise to know who will give me a helping hand in my endeavours and who will stick a knife in my back.

Forget that "keep-your-friends-close-and-your-enemies-closer" Mafioso crap. I elect to keep my head in the sky and my feet on the ground.

Hope we're on the same page, Frenchy!

Do you believe these simple minds? Kibaki government was never given an iota of credit for reviving agricultural sector. For once farmers were getting value for their money. Then Ruto steps in and destabilize the sector with his genocide and ethnic cleansing. Everybody in the country is affected and inflation triples. Now with the Kikuyu farmers gone; the Kalenjin cant handle the pressure without whining.Reminds me of the Zimbabwe tragedy. Now Ruto is being taunted as a savior, wonders never cease.

It is good the farmers are getting their money but it did not come from Ruto's and or Rannenberg's account. It did not come from Lord Delamere's account.
Who gave Ruto the money, The GOK of which Ruto is less than a week old and may not last more than a year after TJRC sets in on him.
In Moi's tenure why was the money not available then?
There are simple minds and complex minds. As long we keep on dealing with simple minds ..........
