Default Kikuyu moderate voices silenced - are they cowards? - 02-28-2008, 01:31 AM

Pnu terror arm has been effective in gagging the mouths of some moderate kikuyu voices calling for return to democracy. So much in hostage is the community that emminent voice of reason has been completely suppressed.kikuyus now have no choice but to follow kibaki blindly.just like moderate germans during nazi reign of terror they will keep mum and refrain from talking bad against kibaki.call the cowards but that is the depth of thir predicament. See the lost below.

1.mr hassan shire sheikh of the east and horn of africa human rights defenders network said activists have been forced to retreat from the public scene for the sake of safety.

2.james maina a member of the people’s parliament has been threatended and is seeking armed security from kenya human rights commission.

3.mr maina kiai, left the country for fear of his safety.

4.njoki ndungu is seeking assylum in usa

5.nobel lauret wangari mathai is also reported to be out of the country.

If A equals success, then the formula is A = X + Y+Z. X is work. Y is play. Z is keep your mouth shut.

Default Stop exaggerating, bwana... - 02-28-2008, 03:12 AM

Mutahi Ngunyi was on TV last week.

Muthoni Wanyeki was on TV yesterday.

Wangari Maathai had gone to plant a bag of seeds in the Millienium Fridge, or whatever it's called (Norway). She's not in exile.

ODM has Joseph Nyagah and Anthony Gachoka.

Well said people are so quick giving mis-information and twisting it to their own ends.

Default ray - 02-28-2008, 03:32 AM

Ray did you read the nation?
here it is

politics rights group claims lobbyists' lives in danger story by rachel ombaka publication date: 2/28/2008 journalists and human rights defenders whose lives were threatened in the wake of the political violence are yet to get any protection from the government, a human rights organisation has said.

Those who were threatened recorded statements with the police but no action was taken. Consequently, some of them have left the country and others have withdrawn from public life. Mr hassan shire sheikh of the east and horn of africa human rights defenders network said activists have been forced to retreat from the public scene for the sake of safety.

Sought refuge abroad “efforts have been made by the kenya human rights commission to offer protection to the activists and some like james maina (a member of the people’s parliament) sought refuge abroad,” said mr sheikh yesterday. Mr sheikh said such measures only offered short-term solutions and did not guarantee security. He said mr maina was still receiving threats because of allegations that a meeting was held between an important government official and members of the outlawed mungiki sect.

The nation has since learnt that the chairperson of kenya national commission on human rights, mr maina kiai, left the country for fear of his safety.
