Mashada.com has since restarted its forum with 10 strict rules for engagement (haha)

What Strict Rules?
Lets look at some people who have enganged with mashada in the past:

However, it was soon apparent that there was hardly any moderation. X-rated contents were allowed and discussions would go on and on. Offending members were revered by some and described as funny. Offended people hardly had anyone to stand their corner and I tried but it was in vain. The offended then also became offenders when responding to others postings and it seemed this was a vicious cycle. I thought I'd ignore some people and avoid certain folders, but that wasn't as easy. Posts that seemed to genuinely ask for advice or express interest were littered with nasty comments here and there. It seemed there were many with too much time in their hands just dedicated to offend and mock

as you may already know, i’ve been having quite a problem regulating mashada.com, despite having recently hired people to moderate the forums. It is starting to become a reflection of what is going on on the ground in kenya. I’d hate for it to hinder our current efforts since i’m directly connected to it, therefore i’m having to shut down the forums until further notice. Facilitating civil discussions and debates has become virtually impossible.

People should not engage in shady business and then they have nothing to worry about. Especially in these tuff times, finances are very important

Just goes to show the ongoing tribal debates and entangles will never end but with forums like this we can always voice our concerns through writing guess its called freedom of writing not speech lest you be quoted........

And those articles were posted before mid- year last year!

Some people just dont get how deep this stuff goes, its not a lighthearted matter and now my button has really been pushed.
This is unacceptable!

I’d been trying for months to get myself removed from mashada.com and they steadfastly ignored me. Finally I sent emails to random people who might know David Kobia to get him personally to remove me from the site. It’s crazy… I hadn’t logged on for years and years and then last December by fluke I look it up and I’m still listed as an active member. Signing on was apparently like catching AIDS; incurable and irreversible. It’s too bad that it takes such a concerted campaign to get something so simple accomplished. I’m free…..

BTW, there’s no button on there for someone to delist themselves without all this hassle.

Why? The hatred and the xenophobia and the suspicion expressed therein was not something I wanted to be associated with.
