The moment Obama passed an electoral college count of 200 without California, Oregon and Washington reporting results, it was only politeness that prevented people from saying Next Presidente del Statos Unidos!!!
On CNN, they tried to add up as many "toss-up" states in McCain's favour as they could, they could not draw up a scenario where he could win. I went back to bed at 5:40am Kenya time. With a smile on my face. Those of you who know America from first-hand view will know that it's beyond incredible for a Democrat from a minority to win: Indiana (u kiddinnnnngggg????), Florida (whaaaaattt???) and North Carolina (wake me up, I'm tired of this dream, this can't be real, my broda). Has anybody spotted that carazy imbalance of the vote in the District of Columbia (3 electoral votes): Obama won 92% to 8%. Who lives in DC, is it the politicians or akatas?

As of 11:25am Kenya time, approx midnight east coast USA, Missouri is the only undeclared state, Why? Both Barack and McCain are running @ 49%. The final closing centres of Hawaii and Alaska have been shared between the two.
A few months ago, someone wanted to castrate Obama. Look at him now: -

I hadn't paid close attention, but yes, NC is also too close to call at Obama 50% and McCain 49% with 99% vote in. It has a whopping 15 elec coll votes, Missouri has 11. I guess they'll have to wait for 100% before they commit.

They're still not calling NC and MO. I've gone to the blogs in desperation for some info Quote from Daily Kos: State of the Nation Now, after all the votes have been counted, it came down to a measly ... 11,246 vote difference out of almost 4.2 millions votes cast. North Carolina follows Virginia and joins the chorus of states longing for change. North Carolina is officially Tarheel blue.

NC is tipping towards Obama, and MO is tipping towards McCain.
The final tally can be assumed: Obama 364, McCain 174. I think that's an official landslide. Popular vote: 52% to 47% for Obama, 5% diff, not so big.
