I know this is a little off topic, but I have to put it out there.
Off all the years I've been on Mashada, never have I seen an issue where so many are in agreement.
With that said, let me move on into the topic once again.....
I've been asking myself one question. As unpopular as the Republican party has been, why is there not a wider margin in the polls? Seriously who doesn't want change in the economy and social services?
Someone please answer this question with facts ONLY!
There is no one reason for this but its a complex of factors.I will add a few to the above mentioned.
The left have their darling in Obama. While the right have their darling in Palin. They are both almost equal in size. The centre or the independents make up about 20% of he electorate. They vote or not vote for various reasons
-Security-the last election the republicans scared the hell out of them and portrayed Bush as their protector
-Economy-they are battling whether Obama wants to move them to socialism other than capitalist
-Debates-they have recently started to follow politics seriously. Both Obama and Mccain speech was watched by about 40 million people each.
-They still have some doubts on Obama eg will he go back to Trinity Lutheran Church after he is elected?
-Taxes-They are not sure who is telling the truth
etc etc.
This group is so undecided. They don't like the liberals and they don't like the conservative but they know they have to co-exist.Some lean to the left some to the right. It might not be till late October where they might swing one side.
New GOP Spin: Palin's Not Ready -
09-07-2008, 05:54 PM
Todd Harris, a GOP Strategist who is close to the McCain Campaign, says Governor Sarah Palin won't be available to the press for about two weeks. His defense? She might make a "mistake". Check out this video.
What?
Is there even a single black person in Alaska? And he scored at the Governor's Mansion?
The value of this, from a propaganda/psychological warfare angle, is that it raises the possibility - no matter how remote, in the minds of racist conservatives (and there's no shortage of them) that Sarah Palin's daughter is a nigger-lover, brown baby or not.
All that needs to be shown is that Kevin was in Wasilla when he says he was in Wasilla, and the he actually has an uncle working in the oil fields.
He is using the race card, but not in the way he talks about it.
Okay!
So you're Type R? THAT DON'T IMPRESS ME MUCH!!!

Keith Olbermann: To Mr. Bush Shut The Hell Up!!! -
09-09-2008, 12:42 PM
So I was watching some youtube videos on the commentaries of Keith Olbermann, and I was stunned that there was actually someone who was absolutely truthful on national television (and not a comedian) regarding the facts about American politics. Everything he says, every point he makes is backed by hard evidence and proof, and not just opinionated.
And yet I read the comments on these videos, and I am absolutely shocked at how facking stupid some people are - despising this man like sane people would despise Bill O'Reilly.
"Does this jack a.ss think he's a comedian or something? I can't believe people watch this stuff more less post it like it's something anyone would want to see."
"Keith Oberman... Biggest Liberal piece of sh1t in the World! "
"ha ha that commie bastard Oberman finally got what he deserved! fired!! ha ha ha"
Unreal. No wonder the polls are so close between Senator John McCain and Senator Barack Obama.
Are 50% of Americans really this facking stupid????
As much as I'm not a Clinton supporter, neither am I a feminist, nor do I believe in women's rights ( I think this is just a gimmick to give white women wiggle room in the board room coz majority of the time, minority women dont even get to go inside the boardroom. Forbes just realeased their list of 100 most powerful women, I think its a bunch of BS, how can newscasters like Katie Couric & Diane Sawyer be ahead of the President of an entire country? My bad, its coz that country is in Africa.), I digress. I think that the photo shopping of Palin as a porn star is distasteful and could hurt Obama in the end even though it wasnt done by his staff. If there was any time feminists should scream about double standards, it is now. Just because Palin IMO is not qualified to become VP, does not automatically make her a bimbo/slut. People should watch what they say. On the other hand, could someone send her a shout out to not repeat cliches on every speech she gives. Stuff like " Some people use change to further their careers, while others use their careers to further change" or " Its time to take the maverick from the Senate and put him in the Whitehouse", makes her speeches so boring, so predictable, so annoying. I guess come November we'll see what Americans are really made of.
