Default Clueless!! What Happened?? - 07-22-2008, 03:58 AM

Do you have those instances where you are caught like a deer in the headlights! When someone heaps praises on you for something you have no clue about? And you are there thinking WTF, trying to seem knowledgable while thinking, 'Is this candid camera??' ama its a hoax

Someone appreciates your ‘insights’ in helping them make a life changing decision or even a change in business direction after 'consulting' you, and all you remember of the day is ‘we had nyama at buffet park sato got drunk and discussed the butt on the chic in the table next’!! They even make you as part of there ‘reform’ or ‘change’ story (actually its when you hear the story, that you start piecing the details together somewhat)

Or even at Jobo, when you get a commendation and a raise, and in dec you get a plaque or whatever in the end year piss party, for doing a common sense thing, mpaka you start wondering whether you work with retards, yet there are those efforts you dream will one day be noticed as you give them high value, more of you time, more of your dedication but wapi !!

Or vice versa, you help a friend or colleague, you give them your shoulder to cry on for months, probably shacks at your digs for some time (depends on the issue), you are with them every weekend, foregoing other stuff, just so they don’t feel lonely, then one day they hang out with a jamaa for an evening, and in a few months when things look up and they are up on their feet, the first scenario happens, when talking of their successes and the journey from the pits – you don’t feature!!! They heap all the praise on the 4 hour revelation they had with the ‘inspiration’, you nothing but a distant memory. WTF!!

Just because you've always done it that way, doesn't mean its not incredibly stupid.
“If you do what you’ve always done, you’ll get what you’ve always gotten” (Mark Twain)

Sometimes, the little things we do that seem ‘valueless’ are what matter to the people around us. And are what make a difference in other peoples lives. Easy, simple things that we do even without paying a thought to it.

But then again YB* you are very insightful to say the least.

Usiniharakishe please. You can’t hurry meringues, couture, or the Hermes Birkin bag waiting list. So why try to hurry a vision of loveliness? (Fraglante)

It can be very disconcerting i'm sure.
A some what stranger helped me out one time when things where, to put it mildly, tough. Funny thing is i don't think he remembers me. Saw him once, tried to thank him and offered to buy him a drink. He just gave me strange look and took off.
He probably thought i was a psycho.

superiority complex, her sister, inferiority complex, are one and the same malice. Part manifested thereof is solely dependent on the persons that are in the vicinity
