Default Do you have the power? - 07-02-2008, 02:22 AM

The will power.

Ever struggled with addiction? Drugs (alcohol, cigar, etc), habits, routines, and thoughts that you can't do without.

Have you ever overcome any bad habits? Have you managed to move on without effort?

I have a friend who stopped smoking bang, cigar and using other hard substances just like that. He just decided to stop, and he did it. Like wanting all day to go and watch the world cup finals then you just decide not to, and you don't.

Well, think about yourself. Are you easily influenced? Do you find yourself not able to withstand the pressure that comes with saying NO?

Then, cultivate your will power. You may suffer physically, and/or psychologically for some time, but this I promise you, you'll live to love yourself.

Just quit mashada. Say no once and bear that pain for some time only.

Have you overcame any past addictions?

It all come from the heart since willpower is the best driving force but it is the worst enemy of a fun lover.

I find that you get the power one the consequence comes through, someone with a disconnect in that capability usually will not stop.

I stop alcohol when i need to get in shape, even if its 12 months, procrastination tends to stop when the consequence could mean joblessness or non graduation.

I guess what am saying is, the is a motivation is needed to stop, without it, rather without understanding it, then hakuna.

Just because you've always done it that way, doesn't mean its not incredibly stupid.

I think this depends on addiction type. Almost all smokers know and understand most of the consequences but exercising the will power still become problematic.

My dad was thoroughly briefed on the effects his smoking would cause, he tried to quit but sad enough, only death saved him from worse consequences.
