Lol I agree, I was talking more in the sense of empowerment, I am huge believer in the democrats.

anyway here in the south esp for us in the coorp world, there is this proverbial ceiling, where we really struggle to cross. With Obama in the white house, maybe alot of ignorant people will realise its ok to let us lead them. kinda corny but I am currently in the "yes we can movement"

my point is just that different people will have their reasons for going home or for staying abroad. the most we can do is make the decision for ourselves. it's not good judging other people who decide to stay abroad because you haven't walked in their shoes.

you didn't invade my privacy. but you assumed i was on the defensive and didn't want to rudi home. my point in that privacy statement was that you were making assumptions about me that weren't necessarily correct. i'm not against kenyans returning home, but i am against the statement that all kenyans must return home.

peace.
I can see where you are getting that from. I'm not blaming or judging anyone. I can see why people would not want to go back. I was frustrated with situation back home and was thinking of how I could help. That's all

I don't believe Kenyans must return home, either.

I LOVE Kenya but the 07 elections changed me for life. Now am not even sure if I want to go and retire back home, what with our ****ed up politicians and our extremely tribal masses

Sanaa, wit ur way of thinking and planning, i have no doubt in my mind you are destained to make it. As they say, Destiny is in ones own hands and it looks like you have a clear perception of what you want.

Borse had a very good point that a lot of people dont really come to grips with until they have made the decesion and moved back to start their life. If you are your own boss and are used to working for yourself, i dont see how one can fail. Depending on a good job and salary is alright BUT still holds risks we all are aware of.

From personal experience i am one that stopped working for people and decided to do my own thang. I had endless headaches for the first 3 years but i was still controling my own sh*t whilst "friends" and FAMILY thought i was out of my mind.
I then decided to move back to Africa ( for those who are not aware, im from Tz but schooled in Kenya for bout 7 years ) and start stuff there from scratch. Since i was soooo used doin my own stuff, it was not a challenge or that stressful.

Having the advantage of being resourceful is an added priceless bonus one would have over their "local" counterparts.

Another thing, if you wait for family to approve or support you in what your doing, your very very very mistaken plus, dont involve them in anything to do with ur hussle. Otherwise you may live to regret it.

As someone said it on this forum, its best to aquire wealth and assets to last a generation than jus have money in the bank. Sadly most people jus wonna have the money in the bank but still dont own anything at all and worse still, they are not used to controlling their own destiny.

Mambo ndo hayo.

Good luck to you Sanaa. Im sure you will inspire some people.

have never thought of myself in politics but i know one thing, i would not last. My intolerance for hypocrisy, stupidity, corruption and greed is so low i'd be knocking shoulders with those old men daily. They'd kill me faster than the rate those Saf Com shares disappeared.
lmao@safcom shares.....wazee ni wale wale...the young guys have to do their own thing create their own ka micro-economy(lakini kama nyinyi ni tribes hamuwesi make)..asians have done it...hell even eastleigh has its own buzzing dollar market...
