I'd say ignorance brings about the above.
There are just too many women in Africa who have been infected with diseases from their husbands or raped by random infected men or family. so u can run all you want, but for as long as people are ignorant the above will happen. Dont mask all those problems under sex. There are deeper issues here to be addressed. Women pay a dear price even after being greatly responsible.

the thing is wama, when the eye catches sight of the word SEX, all manner of things run through peoples' minds. People could be very anxious to know a new sex style, how to break another's virginity, how to 'demand' - not even request for it, how to coerce................the list is endless. It all depends on which side of the fence you're on.
