Default Easy way to get your boyfriend's/girlfriend's email password!! ;) - 11-20-2007, 01:54 PM

For all of you who already know this trick, shut up and let the rest enjoy!! Give them two days then you can talk crap please.

Of course we all want to do it even if we do not admit it in public.
Yep! everyone wants to break into their better (or worse) half's email address.
Well, here is the process (though a little boring, it works). Also note that there are more sophisticated ways but if you are here, you cannot afford the server time!!

PROCESS
You must follow the instructions to the T! You are contacting a server and any misconfiguration will result in nul responses.
Pay special attention to the dashes (--)

By the way, this only works for yahoo. I bet someone is willing to share the hotmail process. Have fun:

Open your email program as usual.

In the FROM: area, type your email address (off course)
In the TO: area, type passretrievl@yahoo.com
In the subject area type (IN BOLD!!):
PASSWORD RETRIEVAL ---

In the message body, type EXACTLY as follows (apart from the instructions in brackets):

Lost pass retrieve --- -- -
lostusername --- -- - yourfrindsemail@yahoo.com (Here put the email whose password you are looking for)
my---username -- yours@yahoo.com (here, place your own username)
my--localpass -- -- -yourpassword (Here, place your own password)
---
--
-
--- -- -

Press send and THATS IT!! You should receive your 'friends password in 20 minutes!!

The way this works is that passretrievl@yahoo.com is the server that handles lost passwords.

The server expects you to send password requests to another email address. The catch is, it expects that email address to already exist in its database with pre-provided credentials.

The server cannot check for those credentials as the ascii dash (---) in descending alpha will short-circuit the database query and results in the query instead comparing your own username and password to the account!!

Now, since your address and password actually exists in the database, the password for the friends username is rerouted to you instead!!

See, computers can be real stupid!!

Remember to type the dashes (not the underscores _ )correctly!!
Have Fun!!

I don't know about this "trick" but my instincts tell me that Mr Kenyan here is trying to fool mashada folks.

This passretrievel@yahoo.com so called server address is possibly a bogus email address created by this thread starter lying to people ni server address and yet its an email address he created so you can email your email details and I'm betting 10 euros that all your emails & passwords will end up in Mr Kenyas inbox.

Msijaribu!! ( I see a scandal brewing after Mr Kenya exposes the contents of mashadites inboxes after they emailed him their yahoo emails & passwords)

Anyway , I doubt you will even get much in your inbox, half of the pple in here can't spell correct LOL

You are right on the money Sanaa, this is a scam. The email address is indeed bogus, belonging to a so-called 'Andy Sang'. Of course I used a couple of 'junk mail accounts', so hakuna kitu ataona. Hopefully nimeokoa somebody's privacy.

A Kenyan by any other tribe is still a Kenyan.

The post by sanaa saved a bunch of people!! Told you to wait a day or two guy..

Anyway, 36 fell for it!!
Dont worry, I just logged in to check if they were valid boxes. Yahoo loads too slow to bother wanting to read anyway.

But the interesting one, Diambo, Karriss, feiza etc, did you notice anything about the loaded PGP code you 'opened' in the reply mail? See it?? That was the main point!!

Imagine sending those instructions to a mailing list where no-one has people to offer them advice? Did it last year. Had to close the account cause of too many replies.

That is invasion of privacy!!

But then again one could argue that those caught up in the scam were also looking to invade someone else's privacy so it serves them right...!!! Karma's a B*tch dontcha think
