RE: SUBLIMINAL MESSAGES -

Subliminal messages definitely exist. But there's nothing supernatural about them. In the case of akina Lion King and the Little Mermaid, the allusions to matters sexual were deliberately made. You could call it artistic expresssion or mischief if you like.
I guess the frightening thing about admitting that they do exist is having to accept that our lives and opinions are constantly being shaped in ways that we are not consciously aware of. To us the unknown = Danger and evil.
At any rate, language and media, as forms of expression will always be manipulated by the communicators to convey their intentions (good or bad). There probably always are deeper layers of meaning behind everything, some coincidental (if there really is any such thing), some deliberate.
I do think this is an interesting topic. Incidentally, has anyone ever tried watching those ma-cartoons of Warner bros (akina Bugs Bunny & co.) that we used to watch as watois and realised that they can't really have been intended for kids? I mean, with all that political and sexual innuendo! And, for whatever reason, we never noticed it before. It's almost the same thing as the subliminal messages. Until we're made aware of those deeper issues, we don't notice them.
Another parallel: Folklore, fables and lullabies. If you ever take the time to examine the lyrics of lullabies (of certain cultures) and to chambua them, you'll notice alot of inherent cruelty and death. Does the child pick up on these issues at a non-conscious level ama are we just reading our own things into them?
There's alot out there that we can't even begin to grasp. It's very humbling.
Bw Patroba, I like your play on palindromes. Did you jua that they also exist in biological systems (The joy of genetics)? I'll add yours to my collection!!!
