Default Dreams from My Father:Barack Obama - 11-28-2007, 09:48 AM

My interest in novels begun when I was 16...a bit late, but since then I've read numerous books. Action packed Ken Follet, Suspense filled Archer, books about love, family, power etc...but never had I felt attached as I was to this book.
It made me sick when I was sitting the bus to school n gave me sleepless nights.
Each page is full of questions, questions that we can associate with but cannot answer. His story telling of success, happiness and hope against a backdrop of faiures, sadness, loneliness and despair creates a struggle in ones mind. Obama asks questions but does not share answers, he seems to take the reader through a maze that he himself seems unfamiliar with.
Well, on the other hand, as an autobiography, it was too 'clean'. It was like "When Obama makes mistakes, they are not mistakes...they are lessons!"...lol
His failure to give his personal sentiments instead of narrating seems to prove that he never really got to answer those questions.
