We can always make this section lively...just depends on peep's schedules. What r u all reading at the moment? I'm keeping myself entertained with 'Memoirs of a Geisha' by Arthur Golden ...it's a very thrilling book thus far.

I'm reading "Henderson and The King' by Saul Bellow.... about this guy who goes to Africa to 'get away from it all' right after coming back to America from the first world war. I'm loving it so far man..i love this guys cavalier style of writing.....it's a relief to read someone so unhinged especially since i've just finished a 'serious' book.....anyway that's what am reading.

I've read bits and pieces of 'Why we can't wait' for one of my political science classes! Dang that is a gorgeous book! Have u read 'Letter from a Birmingham prison'?

Another good book u should read: 'Having our say' by Bessie and Sadie Delany? Excellent book.

There are a number of decent reads abt Native Americans. I can think of two books which r must-reads:

Lakota Woman by Dog Mary Crow and The Education of Little Tree by Forrest Carter

BTW...It is politically correct to say Native Americans and not Red Indians. 'Red Indians' is a derogatory term.
