Haven't read it, but what's the story line? ( am crossing my fingers that its not about some whittie gone native/moran and telling us a 'my life as a maasai narrative'.

I can bet mmy as s its abt a white gone native Pix 9. From the title, "The White Maasai" honestly, a masoo cannot be white unless he's an albino!

I shudder to think that the movie will be something as dumb as 'The Air Up There ' with Kevin Bacon and the cast of miros from SA and Kenya

Diva!!!

No bile intended, but I'm quite averse to this business of exoticizing Maasai's and all this fuss abt them. Really, it does get exhausting... all the more so when jungu's go marrying these 'natives'... I can't help feeling that they are preying on s'thing abt the natives.. y'kno, grasping @ some sense of cultural purity....?

reminds me of this ka-trend of miro models who for some reason have a certain distinctive look. Y'kno.. the Alek Wek and Ajuma Nasenyana look? Now, that worries me more than a bit. Can't help feeling that we are back to the noble savage vybe- esp when every media item abt them has to tell you the way they were refugees, sijui they escaped FGM.. ai! Phhhhleeeaaaaaase!!

Like I said... si kwa ubaya...

true dat...whats so great about a swedish woman leaving her cold country to take advantage of a masaai's sexual prowess? are we supposed to shed tears for her? this touristic novels are such crap!! and the lady model you were thinking about is called Waris Deya or something like that from Somalia. Would you believe that her novels are written for her by an intermediary(white of course) because she doesn't have a sufficient grasp of the english language and he twists the narrative inorder to make it more commercially viable!!

Who no know gone know
