Wow, wasanii thanks for all the tips. I intend to read more of her books, I'm surprised that you found Redeeming Love better than Leota's Garden but then my friend also thought the same thing, so I guess I'm the only one who differs I think Leota's Garden is better than Redeeming Love. Any other fantastic Christian authors that any of you know about?

I just got a hold of Leota's Garden. Can't wait. Will let you know how it matches up to "Redeeming Love".

Finished reading "Leota's Garden". I STILL think "Redeeming Love" is in a class of it's own. Leota's garden is ok though.

But I'm so mad at Rivers. She left SOO many threads hanging at the end of the book. I guess that's life, but I was asking myself the following questions:

What happens to Michael (Anne-Lyn's brother). Is he out of the family for all time?

Who stops Hiram from commiting more "mercy-murders" in that hospital? Or is it just a ploy by Rivers to highlight this issue?

Why don't Sam and Anne-Lyn end up together? She did reject Corban (my heart goes out to him) because he did not believe in God and all. But Sam was a Christian! Is that also there to show us that sometimes you just have to follow God's will? She was attracted to him!

This and many questions leave me puzzled at the end of this slightly above average book.

Getting "The Atonement Child" next week. Can't wait. Wonder how it will measure up to her other works.
