Yes I saw the video hapo awali. Funny about that athlete in blue who got lapped. She was almost walking. Talent Rionripo has. A spctacular name she has. I hope she makes it big.

But like many young Kenyan ladies, its very difficult to predict her future. It seems like 80% of Kenyan girls who shine at youth level dont make it at senior level

On the other hand, those who start late seem to be very succesful :

I think there is a 'revolution' if we may call it that way with regard to our ladies.

Since Kina Sally Barsosio and Tegla Lourupe, our women didn't use to feature at all in high level athletics ceding the ground to countries like Ethiopia.

Tnere was also the cultural issue where sports women are looked down upon as not worthy ladies or not even not worth of marriage. I think all that has now come to rest.

With the exception of Defar and Dibaba, we can match Ethiopi a step for step. They might have better female marathoners than ours however.

Default Thessaloniki, Greece

BBC SPORT | Athletics | World Results | World results

Did you guyz watch the last leg of the season in Thessaloniki, Greece gone weekend? Was fab! but its like kila mtu ame tire. Mpaka Bolt has cancelled his Asia trip, even though he would have earned a lot of money from it. Some of hese videos may not be available to none UK users!

Women 3K - Defar gave our dear Vivian Cheri a sprint hapo last 100m uwiiiii! Dibaba is back on form and came second in women's 5k the previous day, Defar taking lead. Vivian came 3rd, Sylvia Kebiwott 4th and momanyi 8th.

Who watched Jeter do her 10.68? lol! I call this chic - Jeter (kale style/accent) and half of the time people are not sure who exactly I am referring to. Fastest woman in the world in 2009. She really shocked the Jamicans; she is one to watch out for. BBC SPORT | Athletics | Replay - Jeter streaks to 100m win

5000m men was disappointing. 10 kenyan entrants, out of a total of 12 and they only miss poistion one and 12, they allow the Ethiopian to take those 2 just like that and sandwich them...OUCH! Surely Kogo and Soi shouldn't have allowed it. BBC SPORT | Athletics | Highlights - Sprint finish to 5000m

I guess Diamond league is next, it's been a great summer.

Yes I did watch it online.

Defar and Dibaba are back.

They are furious at having lost the two races in Berlin and are out to prove something.

Cheruiyot is on fire. She has gained a lot of confidence to hang with the Ethiopians. She is our finest.

I diid watch Jeter. She tore the field as she shold. I think she'll run the 100m in 10.5 something.
