If A equals success, then the formula is A = X + Y+Z. X is work. Y is play. Z is keep your mouth shut.

rodi kopany in nyanza, I find hilarious! got it's name from the then Road Company who had their offices there, so they called the place rodi kopany.

But it is both ways, coz it is alleged that the English stole some words from dholuo! The english word Technology, the junguz stole from a phrase used by the luo a lot when new things were brought into their land in the name of maendeleo back in the day 'tek no lo ji'

BUT DO I SAY??

kiambu - mi mate is from bano, he told mi during the colonial time. people used to get arrested and loaded up in trunks. when that activity was taking place, people were screaming for their love one(kunga mbu). so when people ask, where mutuko? took him to kia mbu. thats when kiambu got its name. dont know the truth about that fact.

everyone knows about kiringiti stadium. cames from the word cricket thats where the mzungu played that game. locals found it to pronounce cricket to kiringiti
