Hi Kiki,
I would highly recommend Chester house apartments. They are right at the centre of the city, so you will not need any transport to move around tao, they are very safe (5 or 6 private security guards day and night), they have a very nice restaurant within the premises on 3rd floor (in case you visit the restaurant, tell them Catho said hi). I think a 1 b/roomed is like 40k and a 2 b/r should be around 50k - 60k per month. I used to work right next to them and I am at the restaurant every night I am home. I don't stay in their apartments but I would recommend them, having referred several people there and I have seen them make repeat stays, so must be good.

Kiki,
Am a frequent traveller to nairobi and when in need of a place to stay, whether an apartment or a guest house, and depending on my budget, i always contact Accommodation Kenya ( ..::Accommodation::.. ). Talk to a gentleman called IAN MUTWIRI. Their contacts are accommodation@kaiwiagencies.com or accommodationkenya@yahoo.com and their phone contacts are +254726236126 or +254736222761. He's a very hospitable gentleman who will listen to you and will get you just what you want. His company is an accommodation agency that will get you a place to stay anywhere in Kenya. Their service charges are vry low and you dont pay the fee unless they have got you a nice place tostay that you like and you actually move in.
I think they will be of great assistance to you.

Cheers!

Its Bad manners to go imposing yourself on relatives for more than a few days.

anything more than a week you should always consider a separate place especially if you have a family.
