Default Bell Belichick    Show Printable Version  Print   Email this Page  Email

Is he the greatest coach of the modern era? Records aside, he's done what other supposedly more accomplished coaches haven't done. Taken the Rats to the title a couple of times. There are coaches around that haven't even smelled the game, let alone won it!!!

IF the Rats win another title, forget Lombardi....

IF???..come on now, give it to them already...I'll be the first to admit Tom Brady is at best a decent QB, but Belichick has devised an offensive system that makes Brady look like the best QB in the NFL...

All Brady has to do each week is go out there and carefully follow instructions..unlike most of the top rated QB's he hardly ever has to improvise on the fly because Belichick has all the plays schemed to cover even the worst case scenario..plain and simple the man is a genius..no one b4 or after him has ever/will ever accomplish what he has..Nope, not in this life time..

Even with all that said..It should be noted that no one can take away from Brady, he is still up there with the best of them..add that to Corey Dillon's outstanding play and you know this here is a legitimate championship team...

So do the damn thing..hand it to this patriots or do you all just want the complimentary ass whooping on the side??...

Like I said...IF....

You have to hand it to the guy, he's taken an average team at best and accomplished what other higly paid coaches with a lot more talent couldn't, haven't or will ever come to close to emulating.

NO...I will NEVER root for them, no matter what. :D

You know what, there comes a time a cocky man like myself has to give credit where it's due......B double might not be the best ever, considering what Gibbs and Parcells have accomplished in the past, but if we are talking the best game day coach in the league right now, BB takes the title hands down......

Like y5 said, the Patriots are really an average team talent-wise.....They don't blow anybody out and they don't have any big time names like Philly(T.O, McNasty), Minn (Moss, Daunte) and a host of other teams.....Most people can't even name two NE receivers......Matter of fact, every team that faces the Pats comes in believing that they have a really good chance of winning, but it's been the same story......

Thing is, don't bet against the Pats with BB at the helm...This guy is the master of the game.....He knows he doesn't really have individual playmakers, so he makes his guys feed of each other and really play as a team...The Pats play within themselves....They know what they can do and don't try to do much else...They just play the game the right way and that's why they are what they are...To me, it's starts with the head coach......

I conceded that he is the best coach in football last season when he came to our house, and on 4th down with under 2 minutes to play and Brady taking the snap on his own 1, the Pats took a carefully calculated safety. The Broncos kicked off the ball back ahead by 4 points and gave the Pats 3 new downs and a better field position.......Brady then drove the length of the field for the winning touchdown, and even I, the most ardent Bronco fan out there had to bow down to those exploits......Only a great mind can think of something as ingenious as that.........BB is the MAN, but the Broncos are the MEN....Had to throw that in just to re-affirm my position....

Mwenda, you see now, you're reverting back to your daily halucinatory personality that we all know so well. Take the pills in the same order and dosage as you did when you had your last lucid episode.

I couldn't let that slide either. :D

10, the reason I'm not putting Gibbs or Tuna on the list is they coached in the pre-salary cap era and had total control. No GM or owner meddling in their day to day affairs. The only other coach that comes close is the pokes own JJ who did his thing for six years and had two titles.

I wonder how much the next team is going to have to pay BB for his services? Snyder is right now probably having his people talk to BB's to see if they can get him to jump ship.

:D

no IFs about this one, but the only coach who will be all over the news by the end of the season will be Andy Reid. the smooth days of the pats are over.
