H4 Visa at US Embassy in Nairobi

Has anyone applied for the H4 visa through the Nairobi embassy either for their spouse or child? If you have, what was your experience, did you succeed in obtaining it and if not, what were the stumbling blocks?

Best thing you can do is have the h1B holder go and get it for you !
they really won't ask alot of questions once the H1B is approved. This is due to the fact that it's a prerequisite !

Otherwise, there is no major obstacle as such ...you will need to prove that you are legally a dependant of the H1B holder..ie spouse or a child !
And also you have to bring along the H1B approval notices .. notorized copies of the previous tax return fillings if any.
And as always ... you need some luck !! you never jua with this folks !

there should be no reason why the embassy should not issue visas to ur legal dependents. when your H1b filing was made, u must have declared the number of dependents. if you did not, too bad.
