Just Curious Is anyone Out there interested in BAckpacking Like in Travelling around from country to Country making just enough money to Finance your travels. I think It is Fun :) Any Kenyans Out there who tried this?
I am glad to see some else thinking about backpacking. I would do it but only for 3 months or less. But I wouldnt draw money from my account, just hit the road with my backpack. I planned on doing it right after undergrad but one thing led to another and never got to do it.
Hopefully will do it sometime. But good luck to you. SHould be a whole lot of fun. Just remember that if you do it for to long, its stops being an adventure and you become a BUM.
you need to figure out where you're planning to go, whether the country is welcoming, whether there's lots of bureaucratic red tape etc.
my kenyan friend and i backpacked all over africa and central and latin america. later this year, she and her fiancee will be travelling through south east asia.
it's too bad that most of the guidebooks out there don't answer questions black travellers may have.
backpacking is a VERY different experience for a black traveller. you have to be careful and more than that VERY STRONG, because a lot of the time, you'll be very depressed.

Fit, funny, intelligent, beautiful, ..... you can commodify yourself as you find fit, still no one will want your flat asS!!
