You can be an errand runner. Provide services to busy people or the disabled. Your clients mostly will be busy corporate people, senior citizens or relatives to senior citizens and the disables. You could:Pick up and drop off dry cleaning
Take cars for repairs
Pick up prescription
Take pets to the salon
Do grocery shopping
All these services among others. You can charge your clients per hour or a flat fee for a specific service. :7

very well said here! it all starts with the individual and his/her abilities and insights to his/her future endeavours.

In school were in a safe haven and we know the rules which are either/or and u know u can play this game because u r equiped for it, u know the rules and can play it well but once ur out of school then thats a different whole ball-game and its a jungle out there and ur wit, insight and determination will prove if u will keep ur head above water. In this game there are no rules and therefore make 'em as u play along but u gotta be wise, fast and have a good ear not to miss out on opportunities, this is the kind of ball game where no education will come into hand but ur own skillz now this is growin up!so welcome to this new classroom!!

So whether u make it to college or not i believe we are not all college/uni material and there are other traits that compensate for that and i as 4 right now if u standin' tall then theres something u must be doing right :-) :9 :*

keep ya head up!challenges make u stronger!!

ebony!!;-)

College is NOT overrated...do not be fooled.
If it was there would not be soo many people wasting their time getting that paper. It at least puts your foot in the door otherwise life is HARD without a college degree. You do not just learn about politics, business, music, geography, history, sociology, chemistry etc in college but life strategies.

How about be a con man/woman like the many in Nairobi who take thousands of your money, promising you a visa to some western country, and then skip town with all the chums!!! Try that. Will definately work with all the peolpe desperate to leave Kenya!!

Default WHOSOFINDETH A TALENT... - 01-15-2002, 01:34 PM

Want to know what one can fall back on without the fabled, good ol' education? There are plenty of choices to toy with. For instance, sit back and summon the creative genius in you and try to seek where your natural talents lie. You may arouse the musician in you (I prefer to refer to them as artists), awaken the sculptor in you, stir the poet in you, discover the rapper trapped within or challenge the painter in you. The list is never-ending. It's common cause that a good percentage of musicians livin' large today didn't land a good education. Ever thought how far Michael Jackson went to school? The same goes to a plethora of hip-hop acts, but they live large anyway.

A good education is an essential part to success. However, one must have a certain respect and admiration for those who have made their marks without the benefit of the traditional university/college education. The self-realization of talents has given birth to some of the most successful and insightful people in the world. Many of us would not be here today if not for the skills and knowledge they acquired and the dues they paid to get to where they are today. It takes hard work and dedication, though, to be at the top of your game. Things don't come eazy. There is no school tougher than the school of hardknocks!

LET'S GET THE FACTS STRAIGHT:
Life is a biochemical reaction to the stimulus of the surrounding environment in a stable ecosphere, while a bowl of cherries is a round container filled with little red fruits on sticks. Therefore, life is NOT like a bowl of cherries.

WHOSOFINDETH A TALENT TO LIVE ON, FINDETH A GOOD THING.

Lack of vision has caused even the college graduates not to get anywhere. lack of taking a risk to be what you want has caused many to keep on fantasizing. having no goal in life leaves you on the same spot. If I never made it to colle one thing remains, I did art and craft, in school, I have done math in seco, I did power mechanics, I know about agriculture, I have an Idea about metal work. you have a place to start from atleast. Hey as long as I have a beginning all you need is good planning and though it may take long to make your millions, you will get there. I know many Kenyans who started with very low wages and now days they own there own firms. Finally remember where you are from so as to avoid previous mistakes.
