I cleared in 89' and yeah! Lavo was such a fun school! Remember the trips we had for std seven's to Tsavo and Mombasa, how we would syke up for it a year in advance. Remember mama mei by the gate selling maize and those juicy mangoes with pilipili on them. Prize giving day was so much fun, practicing all those poems and songs for the guest of honor.... i could go on and on. Lavo was just THE school!!!!

Saundra. Well said. I kumbuka those camping trips I even went for the one in std. 6. Prize giving Day and Sports Day etc were also a lot of fun. I remember My boy Karanja and Josiah getting clobbered by Mr. Gitundu for chasing each other around the teachers table during 4 O'clock prep. How about Gakuyo and his famous pose with his left hand under the back lapel of his coat inserted into the trous as he wrote on the chalkboard. Also props to Mr. Otieno for teaching me the only French song I know, " Voila la disco, ..." More shout outs to Maureen Mayieka, Joy Kimega, Andrew Wandera, Nicholas Kies, Raymond Odanga(Rei), Millicent Odongo, Kavutha Mwanzia(met her during my last year of high school), Christine Njagi, Dorothy Madoka, Cheryl Ochola, Christine Ogonji, Wanjiku Mwathi and amny more. I'll keep reeling them off till I remember everybody. Who would have thought when we were just St. 8 kids that we would be here more than 10 yrs later reminiscing about it. Damn it makes me nostalgious. Peter Ndjike and Benson Kamau I still remember that novel you skived from my bag as we were walking home. It was by Irving Wallace and it was called , The Almighty. Wherever we meet you will have to pay for it. Shout outs to Gabriel Mburu and Maringa Manguyu.
