I live in Luthuli Avenue, what school are you going to attend Queens Way Secretarial? There many Ex. Straehe guys in this college. Fear not, your narrow Kenyan focus will not lack one of your kind.

Mr. Ngalawa, I'm sorry that you have to endure such idiotic answers. One of the reasons I think a forum such as this exists, is for Kenyans to help their fellow kenyans in times like this.

I do not happen to know the LA area but I can suggest that you post your request at www.mlevi.com which is mainly West Coast based. you could alos post it at rcbowen.com where you will get a more mature response.

Meanwhile, I alos feel you should access the webpage of the colleges and universities in that area. They always have information for incoming students to find housing. you will definitely find all the information you need there from shared housing to single occupancy and all that.

so take heart my friend, you will make a successful move.

Asante Mark twist for your mature and helpful response. will do.I have also received privately responses from others which have been very helpful, asanteni sana na mbarikiwe.
To the above contributor, the problem is that this industry revolves around LA ,the only school in the east coast is NYU and even then you will find yourself going to LA to convert your knowledge into a job.
