I suppose I should write something about where I come from.

I hail from the gentle slope of land where the Mua Hills meet the Athi plains...it is a relatively fertile area in comparison with some parts of my district. The best scenery for me is immediately after it rains and I can see clear all the way to Mt Kenya... At night I can see the lights of nairobi, ruiru and thika, all in a line along the railway. When I was younger the area was teeming with game, ostrich, giraffe, antelope and we were occasionally visited by the odd scavenging hyena, which would be chased away by the dogs..I got to where I could tell if it was a leopard skulking around as the dogs would bark as they ran for cover in the opposite direction (leopards love to eat dog). The Athi plains had large flocks of ostrich roaming there untill that termite called mzungu decided their eggs were an expensive delicacy.... The wild life has now moved on due to an increase of population in the area.
It is a 30 - 45 min drive to Nai depending on who is driving so living there and commuting to work in Nairobi is a real possibility..
