You are right in the sense that politicians need to set an example by being treated locally, but they need to also improve the local health facilities and upgrade the staff, better pay etc coz those people are so overworked! but we shouldn't completely demonise seeking treatment abroad.

It's kind of funny though cos I remember when Wamlawa Kijana (spell check) was admitted at London Royal Free Hospital private wing, a group of Kenyans in London went to see him, but I can tell you there is nothing special about the private wing in that hospital or any other hospital in UK, the same doctors and medical care is exactly the same given free of charge to all UK residents. What a waste of money!
