I think the press conferences have been worse than the cheating itself. From the looks of it, he is in love with the other woman and thinks she is his soul mate. That is not something you can fight for very long. He may work things out with his wife(for now) to get past the negative press, but I forsee divorce in the future. She has handled the situation with dignity but if she's realistic, she will realize that her marriage has run it's course.
