Obama is holding on to a good lead in the popular vote, a statistically significant difference. The Gallup poll puts him today (14 Oct) at 51% to John McCain's 41%. He also leads among registered voters, and among "most likely" voters.
In terms of electoral college math, realclearpolitics.com is giving him 304-158, with the number of toss-ups down to only 76 states. This is the widest margin I have ever seen.

"We cannot spend the next four years as we have spent much of the last eight: waiting for our luck to change," McCain said while campaigning with running mate Sarah Palin in this once reliably Republican state that has become a battleground this year.
