Polite correction: cloning means
creating an exact genetic replica of a parent, asexually. What you describe above amounts to broader genetic modification, infusion, etc. These are two different issues, so we should take care not to cause confusion.
One interesting fact about cloning is that since the child is a snapshot of the parent, the "newborn" automatically inherits the parent's age!!! Say you get a cell from a 50-year old woman, you create a clone child based on that cell ... the 10 year old child will have the "genetic computer program" of a 60 year old. By the time she's 15, she's ageing???
