Of course white forks are uncomfortable with rev wright sentiments, they don't want to be reminded of terrible injustice done to a black man.slavery is one of the worse hideoes atrocity ever committed by man kind. It's hard to have change without acknowleging the past the bargainers you mentioned are just a few who dance to a white man's tune, why do you think bush could't keep powell as secretary of state after the first gulf war? because powell was no longer keen on iraqi invasion, he could't dance anymore.
Rev jesse jackson and al sharpton are civil rights activists. They dont challenge the system they fight injustice. When rev luther King was shot he was addressing the needs of sanitation workers. He had moved from being a challenger to seek common ground with whites.Rev wright has the black values and hence a challenger who comes along with a lot of bitterness, anger and baggage.Thats the reason why whites are so skeptical about Obama and whether he believes in rev wright values example After 911 he said 'The chicken are coming back to roost' 'God Damn America'
instead of God bless america etc etc...
So,Deekamata the challengers had their role in history and i believe they have been overtaken by events. The American people are facing common problems foreclosures, economic problems, gas prices etc etc Thats Obama's message.
