@jamboree i hear you lakini it's just...well...i'm...yeah, i know it's kinda unfair 2judge the whole tribe but...he crossed the line.
Not all Kyuks are prostitutes/thugs etc.I have had Kyuk friends since childhood...my God mom is a Kyuk.Great family friends. No offence but people who come from the bush are the ones who think the world is about their tribe coz their next door neighbour, their family friends, the whole church, school etc ALL full of ONE tribe.Even the dogs bark in one tribe lol Yeah.Bush people can be strange(not all though)
I think i'm glad he said that...kinda.I was dating the guy just coz i was ditching being single. But then you realize after sometime that you can love this person...coz he treats you right and stuff...so i was like why not?THEN he makes that comment and whoa!!I BOILED!HUGE DETOUR!!!So now i'm back to not learning to accomodate him as an 'okay jamaa'.Simply not my type.PERIOD.
I just started picturing old Kyuk women from his ocha talking bull about me and my family(as proud, hot and learned as we are!)Sorry i brag too much about my family...
Ok i've spilled the beans.Boy is Kyuk, exotic Kyuk.Coast boy(and i thought being Coasterian would make him think past Central province but zi,same old same old)
I'm a bit pissed off, but generally relieved I cannot afford to be burdened by foolish narrow minded inlaws,boyfriend/Huzzy or whatever else we could have been &i don't want narrow minded kiddoz hahaha i want smart genes lol!

Actually I take offence. Not because am a Kyuk but because I have taken it upon myself to dispell the rabid hatred and simplification of the Kikuyu people. Your attitude towards him and any other Kiuk for that matter has been shaped by the systematic lies and stereotyping that you have been fed on. I cannot blame you because I had to interact with Kikuyus often to realize that quite number of them are really civil. The community being so enormous, with even Moi being rumoured to have his ancestry from the slopes and the unconfirmed story(or is it a joke) of him being fluent in Kiuk, it would be in bad faith to presume that your Kiuk inlaws would be hostile because of some stereotype you hear about purists among Kiuks. Does it mean that your kinsmen are the better ones off? Hopefully there are not the ones behind the vicious "kikuyu this kikuyu that" hate messages
As you have admitted you had issues in your relationship- i.e. you were not so sure about the guy but since he seemed ok, you decided to have a go at him. When he made a comment that you did not like, instead of dealing with him as a good couple would, you decided it was time to end the relationship or whatever was left of it.
I do hope that you get your love from a non Kikuyu since that is your wish. However, always bear in mind that most of what is said about tribes here and out there is far from the truth. Each individual is different.
