To understand Rev Wright one has to understand the history of African-American.Whereas some have moved on, there is the type which has refused to let go.

When Trevor Smiley dismissed Obama as not being black enough, what did he actually mean?I was skeptical on how AA will behave in South Carolina but Bill clinton handed Obama the votes. When he dissed Obama run as being a fairly-tale,AA forgot their differences. They are normally so protective of their own and sensitive to racism.

Obama's exotic background was kind of hard for AA to identify with him.So, where does Rev Wright come in?

AA are divided into two categories
a] The Challengers
B} The bargainers

Who are the challengers?
- bitter with the system
- see white people as enemies and not comfortable among whites
- they are always on the offensive
- angry
- play the race card at anything
- believe the goverment owes them for slavery and majority are on welfare, food stamps etc
-they are the majority
- they believe the are black enough
example is Rev Wright {extreme} etc

who are the bargainers?

- are the minority
- popular among the whites
- have learnt the system and blend easily
- they rise among the whites
- give whites the benefit of the doubt
- normally viewed as sellouts
- they are seen as not being black enough
- they are not angry or bitter
- Example is Obama, Rice, Colin Powell etc

When Obama ventured into Rev Wright church he wanted to identify himself with the challengers to win the senate seat. When Wright was left out at his launching of his presidential run ,he was pissed.I believe Obama gave him the
benefit of doubt but after his nausist {sp} moment at the AP,he had to be thrown under the bus.He couldn't continue with his message of unity with this baggage.North Carolina agreed in a landslide.
