Lucifer was not just a creature, he possessed a lot of wisdom and knowledge, your comment about Satan's life being from God depends on whether you view the snake in the garden of Eden as Lucifer or not.
it does not state anywhere in Genesis that the snake is Lucifer/Satan/devil.
bible is partly made up of metaphors and proverbs, interpreting literally is not always the best way because there is a lot of hidden meanings that require advanced understanding. there is also a lot of information that is missing from the bible, for example part of the life of Jesus and other prophets, why?
interpretation of the bible without understanding the true meanings can lead to confusion which a lot of pastors/priests do, because they only focus their attention on the bible itself and fail to look at other external sources that give the bible more meaning. and these sources have to include the books that were not included in the final word and also historical data.
