I mean given the fact that Kenya has been highly tribalised for ages, I would not understand why one comment would make you think radically different of a person. Im not condoning tribalism but what am saying is that Kenyans have had this behaviour of stereotyping people. In my other posts I have infact vehemently opposed attacks against Kiuks because apparently a lot of people know little about them but prefer to label them as thugs, prostitutes etc.

So while these casual statements by people should be frowned upon I believe at times we should restrain ourselves. For instance, you should have told your ex that you took offence of what he said. Then you should have assesed him from there on how he responds to your culture, family etc.

Also if you didnt know the tensions and challenges involved when dating people from other tribes at least now you know.
